Managed to double up again today. Which is good, as I’ve only got three more chapters planned out – enough to take me to the half way point of the Nanowrimo wordcount. After that – Terra Incognita once more!

Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo progress 17,007/50,000
A double-chapter day, to get me some space out in front of the line again. Should be do-able again tomorrow, which is good, because I’m close to needing a day to sit down and plan out again.
Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo progress 13,637/50,000
Another day, another pretty horrible chapter. Belief in rewrites, that’s all we have. Hopefully should be able to do some doubling up tomorrow and Sunday, to get ahead of the curve again.
Today’s (and yesterday’s) scribbling: Nanowrimo Progress 11,862/50,000
No blog post yesterday due to internet issues, but I wrote a quarter of a chapter (got home late), and then finished it off today. Still just ahead of the curve – double duty on free days pays off, will hopefully get to so the same this weekend.
Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo planning
Marathon planning session today – no words written, but now have the novel up to the 15th chapter planned out. Which is the halfway mark for NaNoWriMo, and probably the 33% mark for the book. I think.
Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo Progress 10,161/50,000
Alternate chapter 6 engaged! Tomorrow, chapter 7, and then I am out of planned chapters. Time to start drawing new lines then!
Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo Progress 8,414/50,000
Bit of a slowdown today, partially due to distraction and partially due to realising that my planned sixth chapter needed to be moved to later in the story. So now I need to come up with a new sixth chapter, though I might just skip it and go straight to seven. Not entirely sure. Fun though.
Today’s Scribbling: Nanowrimo Progress 6,792/50,000
Two more chapters. Three more and I’m off the edge of my planning, though by then I may know where to steer it next. Having fun!
Today’s Scribbling: NaNoWriMo progress 3572/50,000
Starting strong on NaNoWriMo – powered through two chapters which both clocked in at the 1700-1800 word mark – not actually deliberate on my part. Lots of plot – some less elegant writing, but the beauty of NaNoWriMo is that the words carry you on past the point, so you aren’t tempted to polish endlessly. First drafts come out rough, or they never come out at all. Hoping to keep up the pace tomorrow!
