Wrote up the end of the Anarchy, woo! Finally done with this – or I will be, once I add some pictures, edit it a bit and get it up here tomorrow.

Today’s Scribbling: Ending the Anarchy
Planned out the last of the Anarchy series – stalemate, Henry comes on the scene, one or two more battles and done. Classic stuff.
Today’s Scribbling: The Tide Of The Anarchy Turns
Another day, another instalment of Anarchy history. This time, the fortunes of war prove fickle, and two Queens fight for England’s crown. The Tide Of The Anarchy Turns, but to whom?
Today’s Scribbling: The Turning Tides Of Anarchy
Today I wrote up the next Anarchy piece, covering the changing fortunes of war that eventually wind up putting everyone right back where they started. Funny old game.
Today’s Scribbling: A Short-Lived Victory
Today I planned out the next section – I’d considered making it entirely about the Battle of Lincoln, but decided to stretch it to cover both the causes of the battle, and the aftermath, where it looked for a while like the entire war was over. I don’t know how much more Anarchy there is to write – this is a war that took three times as long a WW2, so it’s a lot to cover!
Today’s Scribbling: An Anarchic Opening – The War Begins
Today I present the next article on English Civil Wars. The war between King Stephen and Empress Matilda gets underway in earnest, with An Anarchic Opening – The War Begins.
Today’s Scribbling: Opening Maneouvres
Today I wrote up the “first phase” of the Stephen-Matilda war – even finished on a cliffhanger. Tomorrow, editing, polish, pictures and it goes up here.
Today’s Scribbling: Plans for War
Planned out the next piece on the anarchy, which should start with some background on Matilda’s activities (including a minor digression about an Anti-Pope), before moving on to her landing in England and some siegecraft. Then a bloke called Nigel and a peace conference in the bath. Er, in Bath. Easy.
Today’s Scribbling: Uneasy Rests The Head – Early Days of the Anarchy
Today is the debut of the next installment in the Civil Wars series. The second part of the articles covering the Anarchy, it details the uneasy reign of King Stephen prior to the outbreak of open civil war. For your amusement: Uneasy Rests The Head – Early Days of the Anarchy
Today’s Scribbling: Not The Best Of Reigns
Today I wrote up the early reign of King Stephen of England. Things started off well for him, then they went a bit downhill. Tomorrow, pictures, basic edit and then I’ll put it up here.
