Planned out a new Civil War article this time, about the Pentrich Rising, the last “civil war” in England. Hopefully get it written tomorrow and up on Friday.

Halfway done is just begun, I think. 75% mark is where this will start to slow up. Made a tweak that hopefully improves things stylistically. Not sure if it works. Worth a shot, at least.

Fourteen out of thirty two chapters done. This is probably going to drop to one chapter a day once I get into the newer stuff, but right now? Blazing through it.

Another two chapters done. so that’s up to twelve. Nothing much to change this time – just some tweaks.

Chapters 9 and 10 done, and I’ve run up against what I think is the only significant continuity-related part of the thing. Shouldn’t be too hard to sort out, though.

Not really much more to add to that. I guess I need to start looking for a market for it.

Another two chapters done, so that’s six. Editing is oddly restful, actually – good holiday work. I may do some original stuff next week, just to break it up.

Two more chapters. Four down, twenty-eight to go. At this rate I should be finished in two weeks. It’s so close I can taste it!

Tore through chapter 1 and 2 today. Applied the copy-editor’s notes, made a couple of tweaks of mine, tidied up some grammar and double-spaces. Soon this will be done. Then I have to write at least one more before the end of the year, I think. IT CAN NEVER END.

Today I got back into novel editing mode – reading the feedback on my last, somewhat radical rewrite and getting ready for the final pass. This is it. Once I’m done this time then this book is going places. One way or another.
