Well, okay, not everyone, but still. The bloodiest battle in British history. Over 1% of the population dead at day’s end. The flower of English chivalry bleeding on the sod. And nowadays it barely rates a footnote. Odd. Writing it up tomorrow and up on the website Monday, unless it gets away from me.
