A new Forgotten Empire, this time on the seas of southeast Asia. The Srivijaya Empire

It is often surprising how little is known about the past, and how much must be inferred. Ironically it is easy to forget this until you run up against these edges. Oh well. Srivijaya written, going up tomorrow.

Did some digging around for more forgotten empires. Got at least four or five to write about, depending on if I merge two together or not. Fun.

Dissecting Worlds have covered BSG, so I’ve rewritten my contribution to their conclusions episode. Fun stuff.

Some Shakespearian silliness. Not sure if I will polish it and try and get it into a flash fiction thing, or just put it on the website.

Forgotten Empires turns to Africa now, for an empire that arose and fell in a scant 130 years. The Songhai Empire.

Only four generations of emperors, but the Songhai Empire still left a mark on the world. Wrote it up today, posting tomorrow.
