The tenth castle! May take a break now, in the meantime I hope you enjoy Malahide Castle.
Yeah. Well, Malahide Castle, but that spent 800 years owned by the Talbots. Post up tomorrow, hopefully.
Writing about three tombstones, and couldn’t get a decent picture of any of them. If I ever turned this into a book I’d get my own dam illustrations done. Clonony Castle.
Irish castles are fun to write about. Even if what I learn is often not about Ireland.
Big castle post, about a Donegal treasure. My favourite castle, and one which has officially ruined me for realistic expectations in housing, Glenveagh Castle.
History is filled with weird little mysteries. And sometimes the places you think you know well turn out to have hidden sides. Lots of fun with this castle, looking forward to putting it up tomorrow.
Over 1300 words in, and the castle hasn’t even been built yet. I suspect this is going to turn out pretty huge.
Well, not any more, but nearly 800 years is a pretty good run. Malahide Castle researched. Tomorrow I need to actually start writing these up.
Girls who shouldn’t exist, Italians from Germany, and other oddities. Clonony is a weird castle. May write it up tomorrow – may not.
Researched Glenveagh today. Not sure if I’ll write it up tomorrow, or keep up the research and have a few to write – depends on how I feel tomorrow.
