Another Holmes review, this time of Sherlock Holmes in Washington. Oddly, I like this film a lot better now than I did before writing this.

Today’s Scribbling: Novel wreckage
Yeah, this cart has come off the rails. Currently chopping the second half of this chapter to pieces and reconstituting. Will probably do some Actual Content tomorrow for a break.
Today’s Scribbling: Novel Crash (aka Past me? I hate that guy.)
Now hit the point in the rewrite where the final plot arcs start to kick off. However, I’m totally rewriting at least half of them based on the feedback that there wasn’t enough mystery in the plot. Basically the same arcs but rearranged. Plus I’ve added a spy. In the short term though? Back to red notes between paragraphs insulting past me. I hate that guy.

Back into the novel rewriting grind, hurrah. Not a lot to say – got through another scene, went back and fixed some sequencing errors, pretty much the usual.

Busy day of brain work led into quiet evening of rewrites. Slapstick tightened up, and only lucky thirteen chapters to go! Still not quite reached the point where the radical plot surgery needs to kick in, though.

Today I finished up the review of Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon and added pictures. It’s not a bad film – not one of my favourite in the series, but definitely worth a watch.
